We at the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology department offer the undergraduate program Study of Ophthalmology, and the graduate/research program Reconstructive Surgery to Restore Ocular Function. The concept of the latter program is to restore lost ocular function with new methods of treatment, and if possible, offer those methods as restorative outpatient services. Our department is split into five subdivisions for treatment and research: the cornea, glaucoma, the vitreous, ocular function and reconstructive surgery.
